Disney's Tower of Terror Is Getting Its Own Movie Franchise
Second time’s the charm?
One of Disneyland’s more popular attraction, the Tower of Terror, is now getting the big screen treatment. Armed with Big Fish writer John August and Jim Whitaker as producer, the film is set to be loosely based on five people in a posh hotel, who take an elevator and disappear after it’s hit by lightning. Tower of Terror was originally the first theme park ride-turned-movie, with its first spotlight in a 1997 made-for-TV flick starring Kirsten Dunst and Steve Guttenberg.
