With four Ballon d’Ors to his name and a fifth one firmly in his sights, Lionel Messi is perhaps the greatest number 10 in the history of the game. Now adidas is set to celebrate his unparalleled impact on world football with a “10/10” edition of the Argentinian’s signature Messi 15 — the first release in a new tradition that will see adidas dropping a collector’s edition of Messi’s boot every October 10 from this year on. Eighty-nine of the 100 limited edition pairs will be available this Saturday, October 10, exclusively at the adidas store in Barcelona while 10 additional pairs will be sent to the players named in the “adidas Backed by Messi” campaign.

Featuring an individually numbered leather hang tag, each pair will be an exact replica of Messi’s own size 8.5 with a premium black leather upper, electroplated gold and red MessiFRAME, matching GAMETRAX, and a metallic gold #10 at the heel.
