'Unfriended' Trailer Depicts Horror Film Seen Through Skype

The official trailer for the upcoming horror film Unfriended has premiered. The roughly two and a half minute preview utilizes a multimedia aesthetic to present the movie’s plot. The introductory sequence unravels through recorded footage and YouTube clips, and transitions are established through an active, typing cursor. On the anniversary of their classmate’s suicide, seven friends are haunted by an unknown Skype account, seemingly acting out the revenge of their deceased classmate for the live audience to witness. The setting of the Unfriended takes place on one master computer, which serves as a unique way of presenting, and exacerbating the movie’s thrill factor. Directed by Levan Gabriadze, the movie hits theaters April 17.
