After making fashion headlines by dropping the ‘Martin’ from its name, Maison Margiela also graduates on the aesthetic front with its new collection for Fall/Winter 2015. The brand here preserves its sleek, yet purposefully disheveled look this season, offering up a variety of bold, double-breasted pea coats and baggy, draping trousers and printed turtlenecks. Sometimes, Margiela’s design team references Bowie’s “Space Oddity,” and at other times, seems to channel a kind of ‘flower child’ sensibility – but the design team wholly embraces a new runway-vagabond attitude – which likely can be attributed to new creative director John Galliano. Enjoy a look at the latest from Maison Margiela here and stay tuned for more from the brand in the coming months.
