In addition to its other offerings, Kinfolk also dabbles in bicycle frames for its urbane customer base. Seeking to create a lifelong tool, the brand turned to Osamu Fukuda as their chief frame designer. Fukuda is a third-generation Japanese frame builder, tracing his experience beyond his own 35 years and to his grandfather – who served his community before the first World War. In the above video, Fukuda explains his own philosophy on what makes a good bike – a holistic perspective that understands the needs of various riders and settings. An interesting watch coupled with some stellar shots by Yusuke Yamamura, enjoy the video above. Interested parties can head here to learn more about these custom frames.
