A First Look at LEGO's Avengers' S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier Set

At next month’s Toy Fair, LEGO will be unveiling their S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier Set — all 2,996 pieces of it. The Helicarrier comes from Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D., having made its debut film appearance in 2012’s The Avengers. The almost 3,000-piece toy set creates a huge piece — 11 inches high, 31 inches long and 17 inches wide, to be exact. According to LEGO, the set features two runways, micro-scale Quinjets, fighter jets and ground support vehicles. As for characters, the set includes five minifigures — Nick Fury, Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye and, new for Spring 2015, Maria Hill. In addition, 12 microfigures are included to scatter around the enormous deck, with Nick Fury, Hawkeye, Captain America, Iron Man and eight S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. The set will retail for $350 USD beginning in March at select retailers.
