A Closer Look at the adidas Consortium Superstar 10th Anniversary "Adi Dassler"

adidas kicks off its 10th anniversary celebration of its premium Consortium imprint with a nod to company founder Adolf “Adi” Dassler, who established the sportswear giant way back in 1924 before rechristening it after his own name in 1948 — the same year his younger brother, Rudolf Dassler, left to establish PUMA. Taking the form of the classic Superstar, the special release couples a soft black leather upper with a contrasting white rubber sole, matching shell toe, and white Three Stripes branding while Dassler’s own likeness hits the kicks along the lateral side near the heel.

Expect the special release to be available soon at Consortium dealers in limited quantities.
