After unveiling the GTS edition of its high-powered SUV at last November’s Los Angeles Auto Show, Porsche took to this month’s Detroit Auto Show to unveil the latest Turbo S installment of the acclaimed Porsche Cayenne. Even more powerful than the 2014 version, 2015’s Cayenne Turbo S once again features a 4.8-liter twin-turbo V8, but now boasts 562 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque — an improvement over the previous version that’s due, in large part, to the relocation of the two turbos to the exhaust manifolds. Like its predecessor, the vehicle utilizes Porsche’s eight-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive, which — in conjunction with the powerful engine — results in acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds before eventually hitting a top speed of 176 mph. Additional features include 21” wheels, 16.5” ceramic brake discs with 10-piston calipers, LED headlights, high-gloss black hits to the exterior, and an interior done up in black and crème leather with carbon fiber applications throughout.
Look for the 2015 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S to be available this April for $157,300 USD.
