TALA - Alchemy
In an era where many songstresses are aiming to be the next FKA twigs or BANKS for the blog-messiah
In an era where many songstresses are aiming to be the next FKA twigs or BANKS for the blog-messiah market, TALA and her music show the benefits of carving your own lane and producing your own path. Her latest, “Alchemy,” can’t quite be pinned to any particular preset style, but it certainly sounds great and its arresting aura makes it feel important. It appears like it could come from any far-reaching leftfield quadrant of the current electronically-inclined R&B/pop landscape, but its aggressive, erratic structure, futuristic production and sensual, emotive vocals create something unique to TALA and her still-developing profile. It’s the type of creative-yet-accessible cut any artist would want to forge their foundations with. This song will be apart of an EP project of the same name, which is scheduled to hit the web on November 17 via Aesop. You can check out “Alchemy” above.
