Skateboarding "Time Collapse" Film Shows Painstaking Attention to Detail

In an amazing feat of film and editing magic, Nokia has released this video of the same skateboarder skating around a bowl repeatedly in the same scene, in what is known as a time collapse. Starring 15-year-old pro skateboarder Cory Juneau and shot on the Nokia Lumia 930 smartphone, the video portrays seven scenes where Juneau carves around the skate bowl as he seemingly follows himself. Utilizing 60 takes to capture all the variations, each shot was painstakingly arranged over several weeks in post-production as to create such a perfectly choreographed display, with Juneau’s many selves seemingly missing each other by inches as they rip around the skate bowl.
