2015 Bentley Mulsanne Speed

Often dismissed as purely a full-sized luxury saloon, Bentley‘s flagship Mulsanne gets a welcome performance update with the introduction of the new Mulsanne Speed for 2015. One of the most powerful sedans around, the reworked Mulsanne now boasts 530 horsepower — 25 more than its predecessor — while its 6.75-liter twin-turbo V8 has been tweaked to offer a whopping 811 pound-feet of torque at rotation frequencies as low as 1,750 rpm. As Autoblog points out, this effectively makes Bentley’s Le Mans-inspired vehicle more powerful than every “muscle” car on the market and even eclipses that of most million-dollar “hypercars.” The result is a massive, yet agile sedan that can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of about 190 mph. Additional features include everything from a re-calibrated eight-speed automatic transmission, improved combustion, a cylinder deactivation system, and an updated adjustable air suspension to aesthetic improvements like tinted grilles and lights, 21-inch wheels, a two-tone leather interior, and Mulliner Driving Specification.
The new Mulsanne Speed will make its public debut at next month’s Paris Motor Show before being available from Bentley this winter.
