There were many highlights of this year’s Lollapalooza music festival, which took place over the weekend in Chicago’s Grant Park, but none greater than the performance Chance The Rapper gave his hometown crowd. Backed by The Social Experiment band and a choir comprised of Eryn Allen Kane, Lili K, Maceo Haymes of The O’My’s and more, Chance’s set brought together favorites from Acid Rap, nostalgic cuts from 10 Day, a tribute to Chicago juke music, and some new material, including his latest offering ”Wonderful Everyday: Arthur.” The icing on the cake came when Chance was joined R&B great R. Kelly, a fantastic followup to him bringing out fellow Chicago legend Twista during his Lollapalooza set last year.
