Swirling around the rumor mill for months now, Samsung has taken to the blogosphere today to officially unveil its anticipated Galaxy Alpha smartphone. Built with a durable metal material that weighs in at just 115 grams, the Alpha sports a 4.7-inch, 1280×720 Super AMOLED display powered by the brand’s proprietary, albeit powerful Exynos octa-core processor – Quad 1.8GHz + Quad 1.3 GHz. Additional features worth noting include 2GB worth of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (no microSD ), LTE-A support, a 1860mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor, and a 12 megapixel rear camera with a 2.1MP front shooter. To complete the list of specifications, software features include Android’s 4.4.4 OS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, an accelerometer, USB 2.0, and more. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is expected to release in black, white, gold, silver and blue starting this September.
