Florentijn Hofman’s Giant Rubber Duck Makes its Way to Los Angeles

After an extended stay in the bays of Hong Kong, Florentijn Hofman‘s quirky floating duck installation has made its way across the Pacific, nestling in the Los Angeles port. The giant rubber duck will make its splash in celebration of the city’s annual Tall Ships Festival, adding a childish contrast to the historic war ships, yachts and schooners that typically comprise the show. Look for the massive duck – which weighs in at a laughably ironic 11 tons – to be on display between August 20-24. Head over to the Tall Ships Festival website for more details on the exhibition.
