Nike Unveils the Vapor Ultimate Cleat

Having applied its hallmark Flyknit technology across each one of its disciplines – the most recent soccer outing having raised eyebrows – Nike breaks new ground on the gridiron with the release of the Vapor Ultimate. Given the rigors of the game, the scientists at the Swoosh camp were careful to adapt the flexibility of the Flyknit to the football fields, reinforcing the upper with a NikeSkin overlay material that adds durability and strength. Despite this, the cleat will retain formfitting foot intimacy with Flywire cables woven directly into the one-piece upper. All these characteristics are combined with the Carbon V-plate, which was anatomically developed to completely eliminate slippage in both acceleration and cutting – a key characteristic for every football player.
