Although it’s not officially out, Charli XCX‘s uplifting single “Boom Clap” is becoming a contestant of one of the most remixed records of the year. After brotherly duo Hippie Sabotage turned in their remix, Belgians production outfit Aeroplane takes on the song and provide it with an energetic, dancefloor-friendly twist. Scheduled to arrive July 20 through Asylum, the tune will appear on the official soundtrack to the forthcoming film The Fault in Our Stars, which is an adaptation to the best-selling novel by John Green. Co-written by Patrick Berger and the artist herself, the song holds great value to the 21-year-old singer:
“’Boom Clap’ is a magical song to me. It celebrates epic love. I want people to dance and cry to it, and scream it at the top of their lungs.”
Tune into Aeroplane’s interpretation of the song above.
