In the past, indie rockers The Shins have achieved success after features in the Zach Braff film Garden State. Flash forward ten years later, and both Braff and The Shins are collaborators once more. Zach Braff is back with the Kickstarter-financed film Wish I Was Here, and the New Mexico rock ensemble have contributed a track to the film’s soundtrack entitled “So Now What.” Zach Braff told NPR that the song was a result of him asking band leader James Mercer to create a song that is “inspired by his first impression of seeing the film” and that “So Now What” gives him “goosebumps” every time he listens to it. The track is available for listening on NPR, where it was debuted, and can be checked out at this link.
