Raf Simons took a trip into his past for his Spring/Summer 2015 collection, unveiled just recently in Paris. Drawing from sources as diverse as Japanese culture, horror movies, and roller coasters and most prominently, old photos of his parents while they were dating 55 years ago, the collection was quite simply a canvas for tribute, warm memories and Simons’ imagination.
The Japanese influence was for the first retailers to support him; the sharks and imperiled swimmer for his love of horror movies, and the roller coaster was for the same one he rode with old friends Olivier Rizzo and Willy Vanderperre.
Despite the multitude of influences, Raf Simons keeps the collection united with its palette, made up largely of solid colors and thoughtfully-matched patterns. To see the rest of the looks, check them out over at Style.com.
