MSGM looks to Italian artist Alighiero Fabrizio Boetti’s conceptual art as inspiration for its 2015 springs/summer collection. The use of color block pays homage to the Italian artist’s visual renditions, alongside the influence from subcultures of the past — mixing sensibilities of ’50s Teddy Boys with the loud prints seen on hippies in the late ’60s. Oversized silhouettes such as anoraks, large coats and crewnecks are paired with baggy shorts, while tropical patterns celebrate the summer season and complemented further by a unique eyewear range.
