NOWNESS recently caught up with A$AP Ferg at this year’s Coachella festival. In this short clip titled “Wrinkled Silks,” the Harlem rapper speaks on his pseudonyms and how they give him different personas to express himself as an artist. “Trap Lord is like the gritty, grime-conscious hood person and Hood Pope is like the person who comes out of the hood with all the hope in the world,” says Ferg. Directed by Barbara Anastacio, the intimate short also shadows Ferg as he takes stage to his Coachella performance, opening the show with the remix to his celebrated single “Work” to a captivated crowd. Enjoy “Wrinkled Silks” and head to HYPETRAK for more music news.
