The debut of MAN’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection sees three London-based designers Nicomede Talavera, Liam Hodges and Bobby Abley. Talavera unveils a series of designs inspired by his upbringing in a British-Pakistani neighborhood. Referencing the traditional long tops worn by Muslim men, Talavera added his own flair to the garments by blending patterns including plissé pinstripes. This of course wouldn’t be the only culture to be sampled by the designers as other pieces took playful jabs at bold cuts and color, with Abley taking inspirations from Walt Disney’s Ariel through whimsical uses of print on a slew of new material for the designer that includes ripped denim and neoprene. Hodges brings luxury menswear to a more rugged landscape, taking cues from a list of manly activities including Boy Scouts and outdoor activities, as seen through his use of expressive and masculine workwear-inspired cuts.
