Lupe Fiasco will be dropping his fifth full-length, Tetsuo & Youth, this year, and is continuing to reveal more and more details about the project. Sitting down with MTV, the Chicago veteran spoke in brief about a few of the album’s sounds. Lupe says the album is “kinda compartmentalized into different zones,” and that there is a “ratchet zone” within Tetsuo & Youth that is “unapologetically ratchet.”
The 32-year-old also touched on the concept behind his new song “Drizzy’s Law.” Lupe says since the people “hating” on some of his Twitter antics were mostly male, he declared he would only address female fans, calling the idea “Drizzy’s Law.” “Drizzy’s Law” then transitioned from a Twitter joke to a real song, and now it’s set to be released on his upcoming album.
