By now, you’ve probably watched the Beats By Dre World Cup video. However, the FIFA does not appear to be too fond of the headphone brand that has been recently acquired by Apple. According to The Bleacher Report, FIFA has responded to the demands of its corporate sponsors and banned players from wearing Beats By Dre headphones during the World Cup. As Reuters reports, tech giant Sony — a main sponsor of the 2014 World Cup — has compelled FIFA to officially outlaw athletes from wearing Beats at stadiums or during public appearances throughout the tournament. Soccer stars like Neymar, Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney, and many others will have to leave their Beats equipment in the hotel room.
