Alexia Hentsch founded Hentsch Man in 2008 as an imprint for tailoring shirts. With the slogan “born in Brazil, made in London,” the brand has since been full-fledged, delivering seasonal collections for the modern gentlemen. While simplicity and quality align with the label’s core values, Hentsch doesn’t shy away from her tongue-in-cheek approach to menswear, often enlisting compelling prints and graphics in the adaptation of wardrobe staples. Culling material from Italy, Portugal, Spain and Scotland, the label takes pride of its European manufacturing heritage, while also drawing sartorial inspiration each season from trips across the channel. For Hentsch’s Essentials, she displays a number of fashion items, from a sailor sweater bought from the Mykonos markets, to Public Enemy x Sawa sneakers and designer sunglasses by Hankjobenhavn. A Pantone color guide, tape measure and sketchbook are work-related items she keeps close, alongside a handful of Hentsch Man branded sweets. For more on Hentsch Man head to its webpage.
