Delivering a simpler, faster and more intuitive user experience, iOS 8 will represent Apple‘s biggest release since the introduction of the App Store when it releases later this fall. Now offering more connectivity than ever before, the latest edition of the mobile operating system introduces everything from helpful shortcuts and time-saving management tools to iCloud Photo Library updates, Family Sharing, revamped Messages and more.
Now every photo, edit, and album is available across all of your iOS devices while the all-new Photo app offers powerful new editing tools. Along with Photo, Messages has been revamped to allow the addition of voice with a simple tap; you can even instantly send a video of exactly what you’re seeing or easily share your location within a text. Making those messages even easier to send is Apple’s smartest keyboard ever, which now suggests contextually-appropriate words – and tone – to complete your sentences and recognizes who you’re talking to whether you’re using Messages or Mail. Furthermore, Family Sharing makes it easy for up to six users to share each others’ iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases while the introduction of iCloud Drive allows you to work on any file – presentations, PDFs, images, etc. – no matter where you are.
The biggest addition, however, is undoubtedly Health, which offers iOS users an entirely new way to use health and fitness information. Now everything from your activity tracker and heart rate monitor to your other health and fitness apps can talk to each other seamlessly – and all of the information is accessible on one easy-to-read dashboard. You can even create an emergency card with important information – say, blood type or allergies to medication – that’s available directly via the Lock screen.
