Those of a certain age know the word “fatality” is a key term in the video game canon. It’s been a while since 2006’s Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, but Warner Brothers and Netherealm Studios are set to reintroduce the world to the next installment of the iconic Mortal Kombat series. The trailer for Mortal Kombat X has just been unveiled, finding familiar adversaries Sub-Zero and Scorpion in a gruesome death match. Clocking in just around a minute and a half, the clip showcases some stunning graphics alongside highlights of new game features, including X-Ray attacks, personal weapons, and characters’ ability to interact with lush 3D environments. Enjoy the trailer above and look for Mortal Kombat X to drop sometime in 2015.
