417 by Edifice x Mark McNairy "Sidewalk Surfin"

Earlier this year, acclaimed American designer Mark McNairy signed a multi-year deal with Japanese label 417 by Edifice to collaborate on a string of seasonal collections. In this short clip, McNairy speaks on his debut spring collection for the label, one which draws inspiration from early skateboard culture from the ’60s. Titled “Sidwalk Surfin,” McNairy sheds light on the choice of color used in design, while also speaking on the patriotic use of the eagle as a symbol and his thoughts on Japan’s fashion scene.
