Yohji Yamamoto’s Y-3 imprint draws on the idea of super-powered heroes (and their foils) to launch its campaign for Fall/Winter 2014. Fittingly dubbed “Superheroes,” the campaign video seeks to unearth the tension between good and evil that Yamamoto explored in his latest collection. Accordingly, the pieces here are both boldly patterned and daringly hued, complimenting the sharp, dynamic cuts of this range of sportswear. The video makes visual reference to classic superhero motifs through halftone pattern treatments and line dot screens.
