The National Inventors Hall of Fame has officially recognized Bill Bowerman‘s innovation and legacy as Nike‘s co-founder. Bowerman was the visionary behind some of the most famous designs such the Waffle Trainer and his revolutionary methods led to the development of even more iconic shoes such as the Cortez in 1968. He paved the way for innovation at Nike and we continue to see this cultural and innovation impact as the U.S. Patent and Trademarks Office has granted more than 540 patents to Nike in 2013 alone.
