While gangsters certainly have a certain cultural status and image thanks to movies, television and other media, BuzzFeed Yellow offers another take through a photographic exploration of their more human side. The video traces the evolving face of crime throughout the 20th century through rare personal images of gang members from the Americas, Europe and Australia. Reaching all the way back to the The Wild Bunch — infamous for The Sundance Kid and Butch Cassidy — and the Bronx’s Reapers and Immortals, it also features shots of more recent criminal groups including the notorious MS 13 and Raskol gangs of Australia.
