Longtime denim aficionado NIGO was tapped by classic American brand Lee to design a brand new capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2014. Delving into the Lee archives, the range takes inspiration from the workwear of the 1920s and 1930s for a reimagining of three distinct pieces: the 131 and 101 buckle-back cowboy jeans, as well as the Whizit overall. Boasting selvedge denim construction, the collection stays true to the silhouettes of the time while offering NIGO co-branding on the rear pocket patches and metal donut buttons to go along with OG details like HD Lee Mercantile waist patches, Hookless Talon zippers and hair-on-hide labeling. This season’s Lee by NIGO release can be found now at select stockists across Japan.
