Essentials: Taylor Bennett

May has been a pretty accomplished month for 18-year-old emcee Taylor Bennett. In addition to releasing his sophomore project Mainstream Music, which featured the likes of King Louie, Rockie Fresh, Lil Herb and more, Bennett sold out his third consecutive show in his hometown of Chicago, graced his first newspaper cover and, most importantly, graduated from high school. We had the opportunity to catch up with Taylor just a few days prior to him releasing the well-recepted project to see what essential items he carried around with him on a daily basis. Amongst the batch we see the jacket Bennett wears on the Mainstream Music album cover, a few pieces he’s picked up from his favorite Chicago shops, as well as a gold watch he got himself after selling out his first show.
