The mastermind behind numerous catchy radio hits for the likes of Frank Ocean, Robin Thicke, Snoop Dogg and more, Williams’ instrumental abilities have even turned one of his songs, “Happy,” from a radio hit to a viral sensation.
But if you’re wondering what his recipe for success is, a blogger — who goes by MrDiscoPop — claims to have found the secret ingredient: a simple four-count loop. MrDiscoPop has compiled a selection of Pharrell’s music in to a two-minute stream, pulling introduction samples from his music and placing them beside each other to show how they all use the same trick to start the song.
