Becoming Sumo tells the story of Abdelrah Shalan, the first professional sumo from the Middle East. After leaving his home country of Egypt at 19, he went on to pursue his dream of becoming a wrestler and moved to Tokyo. Despite encountering resistance initially, he was eventually accepted into a stable led by Tadahiro Otake where he is now known by his sumo name Ōsunaarashi (The Great Sandstorm).

The half-hour documentary was directed and produced by Salazar and is currently available on the Red Bull TV app on Apple TV or Xbox, as well as on Amazon Fire TV.
