Victorinox Swiss Army is set to launch a brand new product later this year: the INOX. Unveiled at Baselworld 2014 and billed as one of the most trustworthy and resistant timepieces ever built, the INOX comes crafted from a solid stainless steel block as an homage to the 130-heritage of the Swiss brand. Uniquely, the watch employs a removable bumper of nylon and silicone for additional protection while the timepiece itself has passed an unprecedented 130 homologation tests – 30 of which were conceived exclusively for the design. For example, the wristwatch is waterproof up to 200 meters, has survived temperatures ranging from -60 to 160 °F, has withstood 10-meter drops onto concrete, and was even run over by a 64-ton Swiss Army tank. Featuring a 43mm case and powered by a Swiss-made Ronda 715 quartz movement, the INOX is due out this September in black, green and blue.
