SIZE magazine, China’s biggest footwear magazine, has teamed up with Reebok to create this “Galloping Horse” edition of the Classic Leather in celebration of the publication’s 10th anniversary. With 2014 being the Year of the Horse in the Chinese lunar calendar, the magazine chose to give the shoe an equine theme. Inspired in particular by “A Galloping Horse’s Hoof Stepped on a Flying Shadow,” a sculpture of immense cultural and artistic value to China, the “Galloping Horse” features a vibrant mix of blue, aqua, and yellow across the leather upper and boasts subtle details like the Chinese characters representing ‘horse’ and ‘10.’ For now, it looks like these will be exclusive to China and produced in a very limited run.
