Sigur Rós - The Rains of Castamare

Last September it was announced that Sigur Rós was scheduled to appear on HBO’s Game of Thrones. That came to fruition in last night’s episode “The Lion and The Rose,” where the band made a cameo appearance at King Joffrey’s wedding. Now in its fourth season, the hit series has managed to receive contributions from many notable musical talents. In the second season, The National also provided a rendition of “The Rains of Castamare,” the trailer for this season featured a London Grammar cover of INXS’s “Devil Inside,” and in March they released a mixtape entitled of Catch The Throne highlighted by Common, Wale and Big Boi.
