De La Soul released their J Dilla tribute project Smell The D.A.I.S.Y. about a month ago, and now a version of “Vocabulary Spills” with NYC rapper Consequence has been released. Dilla’s timeless production remains intact, but a voluble verse by Consequence has been added to the song. Consequence’s Soundcloud states “This collaboration has been 10 years in the making and now it’s finally here.” The 36-year-old emcee is also noted as “One of the 1st artists to be featured on J Dilla’s production.”
