It goes without saying now that Asher Roth has come a long way from the Asleep in the Bread Aisle days, but the same Asher Roth that could have become victim to the “one-hit wonder” phenomenon is now coming into his own as a formidable artist. His newest track to receive the video treatment, “The World Is Not Enough,” is a cut from his upcoming album RetroHash, and features Roth on a reflective, socio-political bent. Directed by Rik Cordero, the video finds the young rapper alone in a gnarled room as a series of small clips depicting scenes from Syria, drone take-offs, riots, and more flash across the screen. Roth’s new album RetroHash will be available at retailers on April 22.
