The story of the Godfather of Soul is gearing up for the big screen, as today we get the official trailer for the James Brown biopic, Get On Up. The film is set to star Chadwick Boseman, who played Jackie Robinson in the film 42, and he’ll share the screen alongside actors such as Dan Aykroyd, Nelsan Ellis, Lennie James, Jill Scott, Craig Robinson, James DuMont, Josh Hopkins and Nick Eversman. The Tate Tayler-directed film will follow Brown’s story of rags to riches as viewers see him grow from his impoverished childhood to his evolution into one of the most influential figures of the 20th century.
