Earlier this afternoon, Tyler the Creator was arrested for allegedy starting a riot at SXSW on Thursday. The Odd Future honcho encouraged the crowd at his headlining concert for the Converse/Thrasher “Death Match” event to to break down the gates and storm the already-packed 999 capacity venue during his headlining set at Scoot Inn. Tyler was arrested at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport earlier today for “encouraged behavior causing an immediate danger and injury to persons.” According to a statement released by the Austin Police Department, Tyler, the Creator has been charged with “Riot-Class A Misdemeanor, and has a bond of $25,000.” The authorities have concluded that “regardless of the size of a crowd, the encouragement of unruly and unlawful behavior is against the law and cannot be tolerated.”
