Currently on show at Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac‘s Marais gallery is Tom Sachs‘ newest exhibition, “American Handmade Paintings.” The artist’s seventh showing at the gallery, this latest exhibition showcases two of the artist’s techniques: pyrography and marquetry. Pyrography, the use of burn marks and marquetry, the assembly of pre-painted elements, both lend themselves to the artist’s exploration of the American Dream and the ideas that underlie it. The exhibition will be showing from now until May 3.
