Toronto’s own Rich Kidd returns with a new video for “The Valley” directed by RT!, drawing inspiration from famed film director Stanley Kubrick. With chilling imagery fused with heavy bass production, “The Valley” serves as a precedent that goes beyond the typical, recycled hip hop video format into brand new cinematic territory. Off the heels of a huge week at SXSW where Rich performed with Young Guru and stole the show during Just Blaze’s set at Boiler Room, the producer MC is gearing up for a huge year, closing out his critically-acclaimed release In My Opinion (the only independent release nominated for this year’s Juno Rap Recodring of The Year) with this latest video.
