Scottish fashion house Lyle & Scott celebrates nearly a century and a half with a special collection for the Spring/Summer 2014 season. Featuring 11 pieces in total, the “140 Years” line revisits the brand’s extensive archives to realign itself with its original heritage. While the brand leaned towards brighter tones as it developed a strong association with golf in the 1960s, its trademark polos, vests, and sweaters return here in subdued tartan patterns and a traditional palette of berry, blue, black, navy and ivory. To commemorate the occasion, all of the pieces in the collection are marked by the original ‘L&S ltd.’ logo as well as an embroidered eagle on the sleeve symbolizing the brand as it stands today.
