As we have seen a few hours ago, Kanye West and Jay Z reunited on stage in order to headline Samsung’s SXSW showcase last night at Austin Music Hall. Everyone with a Samsung device that has installed Samsung’s new streaming service Milk Music was able to attend this special event for free. While many believed Jay and ‘Ye would take this opportunity to announce Watch The Throne 2, the pair performed a selection of songs from their 2011 joint album as well as respective solo sets (see the full setlist). During their 35-song gig Tyler, The Creator was seen crowd surfing on numerous occasions. The venue itself was graced with two large cubes placed on opposite sides of the room, which was shaped like a low-ceilinged pit-fighting arena, with balconies on three sides and a small stage on the fourth. Our editor Davis Huynh and photographer Santiago Arbelaez were on location to capture the night’s energy for our readers.
