Guardians of the Galaxy Official Trailer

Marvel is looking to whet the appetite of superhero fans ahead of 2015’s highly anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere with the release of Guardians of the Galaxy this summer. Written and directed by James Gunn and based on the successful 2008 reboot of the comic book franchise, the 10th installment in the “Marvel Cinematic Universe” stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord – an American pilot who finds himself as the object of a manhunt in the far reaches of space after stealing an orb coveted by the villainous Ronan. Looking to evade Ronan, Quill is forced to reconcile with a band of misfits that includes Gamora, Rocket, Drax the Destroyer, and Groot, ultimately taking one last stand to save the galaxy when the full power and true menace of the orb is discovered. Starring Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as Groot, and Bradley Cooper as Rocket – and also featuring the likes of John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro – Guardians of the Galaxy is set to hit theaters August 1.
