Just last week, Drake took to his Tumblr to apologize for the controversy surrounding his cover story with Rolling Stone, after expressing that he was “disgusted” with their “evil press” and upset with them replacing his cover with Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and it has today been revealed that the Public Relations firm working with Drake through promotion of his Nothing Was The Same project and subsequent tour had decided to split with the Toronto rapper after the debacle. The feature with Rolling Stone was apparently organized with the help of the PR firm, ID-PR, and the group has since released the below statement regarding the split:
Drake is an incredibly talented artist and we’re proud of our results for Nothing Was The Same and ‘Would You Like A Tour?’ We wish him the best.
