Canon has unveiled the successor to its high-end compact PowerShot G1 X camera: the PowerShot G1 X Mark II. Building upon the success of the outgoing model, the Mark II boasts a Canon-made 1.5” CMOS sensor, faster F2.0-3.9 lens, a 31-point AF system, a touchscreen LCD, and a more compact body. Additional goodies include dual lens rings, built in Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity, however, the camera now lacks an optical viewfinder. Look for the camera at select retailers for $799 USD when it launches in April.
