For a 19-year-old, you’d think being a sophomore in university would be enough to handle. Well, not for Tunji Ige who, in addition to attending West Chester as a communications major, is one of the most promising up-and-coming artists in the music industry today. The young rapper-singer-producer saw his career gain momentum after dropping “Day2Day” featuring Wonda, and now, we are graced with a 13-track self-produced album from the prodigy himself. The album, entitled The Love Project, is meant to be an introspection into the common themes of a young black teenager in 2014. Tunji has undoubtedly exceeded any expectations of his first full-length project, producing the entire work in his dorm room, basement and home with no label and no budget. Without question, The Love Project is one of the strongest debuts from a young artist and needs to be heard in order to fully comprehend its immense appeal.
