Le FabShop 3D-Printed Custom Crossguard Lightsabers

Inspired by the recent trailer for J.J. Abrams’ highly-anticipated Star Wars film, Le FabShop is offering us the opportunity to build our own lightsaber through 3D printing, the design files of which are readily available for download on their Instructables page. The best part is that thanks to the French company’s modular system, avid fans will be able to mix and match different parts so that they can customize the iconic weapon to their personal liking. But all that aside, what has us excited is the fact that Le FabShop actually made their version of the meme-generating crossguard lightsaber held by the mysteriously hooded Sith from the trailer. They even recreated the scene, only instead of a snowy forest, we find their Sith unleashing the energy blade in Paris, France. Of course, the crew did have to take a few creative liberties, especially since that particular sequence doesn’t exactly offer a good look at the details. Still, until the products come churning out, this is probably the closest you’ll get to holding one in your hands.
